STORY
How our journey to walnuts began
In October 2018, the seed of our business idea literally fell at our feet. In our garden in stones, surrounded by huge, over 100-year-old walnut trees, we enjoyed a glass of wine after work. When we saw the scattered walnuts, the idea of putting them to good use arose. This is how our journey into the world of walnuts began.

Walnuts from forgotten trees
The cultural landscape around Steinen consists largely of orchards. In these meadows there are apple, pear, cherry and even walnut trees. These are forgotten and their nuts remain behind. The idea of using this valuable resource was the first step in our concept of negotiating with landowners and farmers in exchange for harvesting the nuts in exchange for caring for the trees.
